We endeavour to answer all calls to the practice as soon as possible. However, there may be an unavoidable delay at peak call times.
Please note that calls to the practice's 0844 477 0918 number are NOT charged at premium rates, rather the costs are largely similar to standard calls. Daytime calls from a landline to the practice (6am - 6pm) are charged at 5p/minute (inc VAT), compared with the BT standard tariff of 4.7p/minute (inc VAT) for a local call and 7.9p/minue (inc VAT) for a national call. In addition, while calls to a BT landline are rounded up to the nearest minute, calls to an 0844 number are paid for by the second.
We believe that there are major advantages for our patients that our current telephone sytem provides. These include extra telephone lines, call diversion, call stacking and being able to handle several calls at once, and more efficient call handling.
