Appointments:

online healthcareMost routine surgery appointments are booked at 10 minute intervals. This is usually enough time to deal with one or two simple problems, but may not be enough for more serious or involved problems and may be one reason why the doctor may be running late.

Do consider booking  a double appointment (20 minutes) if you feel you will need more time. Simply inform the receptionist of your need.

We aim to offer an appointment with the GP of your choice within 2 days. However, if you require an urgent appointment, this may be with the duty doctor or next available slot.

The Practice has to ensure that a mix of urgent and pre-bookable appointments are available each day to cope with fluctuating demand. It is therefore necessary to reserve some appointments for urgent problems or problems occuring on the day. This sometimes means that we are unable to offer an appointment with the doctor of your choice immediately when you telephone. Please bear with us as we try to find the right balance of appointments and cope with an unpredictable demand.

Telephone Consultations:

The GPs will telephone you to advise on your health care needs, if you believe this will be easier for you; please ask at reception who will arrange this for you.

Booking appointments:

A recent survey has shown that only 85% of our patients were aware that appointments could be booked with a GP more than 2 days ahead. Please note that appointments with a GP or nurse are almost always bookable up to 4 weeks in advance.

BOOK ONLINE

You can now register to book your appointments online. Simply bring proof of identification with you to the Practice and one of the staff will register you to use this service.

Extended opening times:

The Surgery currently offers extended hours on alternate Monday and Thursday evenings 6:30 until 8:00PM.  These appointment must be booked in advance.

From March 1st 2012 the surgery will no longer be offering extended hour appointments.
